Viviana Martinez-Bianchi elected to WONCA executive committee

Viviana Martinez-Bianchi, M.D., FAAFP, assistant professor of community and family medicine and director of the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program, was elected to be an at-large member of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) Executive Committee.

Additionally, Martinez-Bianchi was named a WONCA liaison to the World Health Organization.

Executive committee members meet up to twice yearly for a three-year term and act for and on behalf of the WONCA World Council. Martinez-Bianchi has been active in WONCA for several years, including most recently serving as a member of the organization’s Organizational Equity Committee.
