Duke PA Research Group Awarded Grant to Study 2016 Job Openings for PAs

The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) Research Department and the Research Mission Advancement Commission have awarded a team of researchers from the Duke Physician Assistant Program the 2017 PAEA Don Pedersen Research Grant.

Recipients are:

  • Perri Morgan, Ph.D., PA-C, professor of community and family medicine
  • Melinda Blazar, MHS, PA-C, assistant professor of community and family medicine
  • Quincy Jones, MSW, MSH, PA-C, medical instructor
  • Brandi Leach, Ph.D., research analyst

The project, “A National and State Level Analysis of 2016 Job Openings for Physician Assistants” will build upon and update the research already conducted by Morgan and the Duke PA research group on 2014 jobs data.
